The perfect fall treat!

These fall forward treats are calling your name! They bring forth cozy and warm spices and a great hit of flavor from the maple. Plus the pecans provide the perfect added texture!
I took a bite and had to take a minute after and just revel in it.–Coworker
While these are not at all my recipe, I will absolutely endorse these cookies here plus many of Sally's other recipes as well. I find that they usually hit right on the nose and are delicious! I did change the ratio of cinnamon to sugar in the coating to my own regular snickerdoodle recipe's ratio, but I am sure it wouldn't have made that much of a difference. The recipe is linked below.
Low FODMAP Notes
Fructans in flour-I used regular AP flour for this recipe. You could try experimenting with switching it out for a of almond flour and oat flour, or simply a Gluten free flour like from Bob's Red Mill. I do not know how that will affect the texture/flavor for sure (though I do expect it will be grainier), so it would be a gamble. With the amount of flour that ends up in a cookie, it should not be triggering to most, especially if you make them a bit smaller. However if you have Celiac or are specifically gluten intolerant, I would definitely opt for trying another flour obviously. But for those FODMAP followers, you should not have too much of a reaction.
Pecans are Low FODMAP at 10 nut halves which is more than you would have in 1-2 cookies, so as long as you keep it lower, you should be fine.
