S'mores Crumble

Halloween Week on The Great British Baking Show leaves us with some great fall baking challenges. I did a technical twist! A new take on the classic S'more with a combination of pre-made elements and baking yourself!

Making a S'more is quick and this S'mores Crumble is just as easy and fast with some variety. It requires a simple graham cracker crust, chocolate, and marshmallow.

Warm campfire vibes in your own kitchen!

While the bakers on the Great British Baking Show baked their own digestive biscuits and marshmallows, that was a bit too much for me. I used pre-made marshmallows and graham crackers for this layered dessert. A packed graham cracker crust, with a layer of melted chocolate, covered in melted marshmallow and a dash of cinnamon! Don't let this campfire treat fizzle out before S'mores season ends!


S'mores Crumble


Ingredients

Graham Cracker Crust:

Recipe from All Recipes- Would make two crumbles each in a small individual sized serving pan (pictured above).


Top of S'mores Crumble

  • 6 squares (3 for each crumble) of a dark chocolate bar

  • 4 marshmallows (2 for each crumble)

  • Dash of cinnamon

Directions

  1. Prepare and bake graham cracker crust according to directions. Switch oven temp to 400° F.

  2. Place Chocolate squares on top of baked crust and place in microwave for about 15 seconds. The heat of the crust from the oven plus that time in the microwave should be enough to melt it. Spread melted chocolate to cover the top of the graham cracker crust.


  1. Roast (stove, fire) or bake (put on top of an extra graham cracker to avoid sticking to pan) 2 marshmallows per crumble. I roasted, but baking will make it easier and more spreadable. Bake for about 3-5 minutes in oven (set at 400). Transfer 2 marshmallows to each crumble and spread using a knife or fork.

  2. Sprinkle some cinnamon on top and enjoy!
